Sport A Shirt, Share A Night

A huge thank you to all the groups, companies and individuals who made Sport A Shirt, Share A Night 2008 a great success for the third year in a row! With your help we were able to raise over $15,000 to help House families that call us their home for a night of comfort and support while their child is being treated at area hospitals.

We are currently accepting pre-orders for the 2009 Sport-A-Shirt program! For more information, please watch our Upcoming Events page, or contact us at (919) 286-9305. More details to follow!

Holidays at the House

Help us make this holiday season a special one for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. Please take a look at our Holiday Brochure to find out how.

Volunteers Tackle a Huge Job

Three times each year all of the NC American Legion members come to Raleigh for a conference to bring all the pop tabs they have saved over the last several months. On June 14th, the Legionaires gathered at the North Raleigh Hilton, where they brought over 8,000 pounds of tabs!!! The tabs must be taken out of containers and put into a recyle bin. As you can imagine, this is quite an undertaking! We had a fantastic group of volunteers that helped with the project. We thank David Knobeloch for his ongoing, dedicated leadership with this project, the National Charity League, which was represented by 22 of the hardest working mother/daughter teams imaginable, the Hermanie family, friends and family of David, and of course, we give special thanks to the American Legion.

One Year Old Asks For Gifts To Our Families In Lieu Of Birthday Presents

On Saturday, June 7, 2008 Karlee Register had her first birthday party, and it was a very special one indeed: She and her parents asked all of their guests to bring a gift chosen from our Wish List instead of a present for Karlee!
