Volunteers of the Year

House Volunteer - Camille Stubbs

Camille volunteers every Wednesday morning before heading to her “paying job” as a Customer Service Agent at AirTran Airways. Her self-appointed task as a volunteer is to secure donations for House. Camille calls companies to ask for donations of everything from snacks for families to grab on their way to the hospital to larger items for the house, including sofas, first-aid kits, and toothbrushes. Camille is extremely successful; she has saved the House thousands and thousands of dollars.

Family Room Volunteer - Triangle Luncheon Civitan Club

Civitans are everyday citizens who come together in communities to make life better for their neighbors. This commitment is apparent in the dedication this club has shown to Ronald McDonald Family Room ... not only have they covered their regular shift on Thursdays from 12-3 but they also donated over 300 hours of extra coverage to keep the Room open. On behalf of the families in crisis that use the room we thank this dedicated group of volunteers.

Special Event Volunteer - John Evans

John Evans embodies the can do attitude of our volunteers which make the House such a success. As a long time Friend of the House, he dares to become close to the families so he understands the needs that are so important. When he sees a need, he doesn’t report it: he finds a way to become the solution. John has been an exemplary WinterFest volunteer – he has helped secure many items for the auction. John sets an example we can all look up to.
