The Red Shoe Society
(formally Friends of the Ronald McDonald House of Durham)
The Red Shoe Society support critically ill children and their families by making an annual commitment of at least $120 – only $10 a month. Healthcare workers agree that the loving support of parents and families helps young patients. The Ronald McDonald House lets parents get a night’s rest, yet allows them to be steps from the hospital.
Fundraisers help defray some of the cost of running the House, but we also rely on donations from generous individuals like you. The actual cost to support a family for one night is $86. Your donation to underwrite a family’s stay can help ease a family’s burden when it’s needed most.
Joining the Club
Red Shoe Society members contribute at least $10 each month (or at least $120 annually) to help to support over 900 family visits to the Ronald McDonald House of Durham each year.
Thank you for your interest and participation in the Red Shoe Society. In recognition of the summer travel season, the Red Shoe Society receptions will be suspended for the next couple of months. We will be using this short break to plan exciting new benefits and opportunities for the Society. Please watch for our re-launch of the new Red Shoe Society this Fall.
Membership Levels
Annual membership in the Red Shoe Society begins at $10 a month, but higher levels are available including $25 a month, $50 a month and $75 a month.
