Hearts of Hope

The Hearts of Hope Society is an annual leadership giving society whose members contribute at least $1,000 annually to the Ronald McDonald House of Durham. Membership in the Hearts of Hope society makes you an active partner in supporting the families who turn to the Ronald McDonald House and Family Room to deal with the emotional and financial challenges of caring for a sick child.  Hearts of Hope Members also enjoy the benefits of dynamic community recognition, access to special events, as well as select volunteer and donor opportunities. How Hearts of Hope Funds Are Used

The Ronald McDonald House of Durham allows families to focus on the health and wellbeing of their critically ill children by keeping families together who are in need of a community of hope, comfort and empathy.  Financial contributions are used to provide families with the comforts of home: lodging, meals, transportation, kitchens, dining areas, living rooms, play space and computer access. In addition to finding safe and comfortable accommodations within a caring environment, families gain a network of support, establishing friendships with other families facing similar anxieties, hardships, and uncertainties.

These families depend on the immediate help of the Ronald McDonald House of Durham when it is most needed. Thanks to generous support from individuals and corporate partners, over the past 30 years Ronald McDonald House has been able to provide hope to thousands of families from North Carolina, across the country and around the world.

Membership Levels and Benefits

All HOH members will receive the following benefits:

  • Invitation to quarterly “House Happenings” Breakfast with the Executive Director
  • “Behind The Scenes” tour of the house where you will be able to see first –hand the impact you are making on the lives of families in need.
  • Recognition in RMHD’s annual report, newsletter
  • Recognition in the RMHD’s website for a full year.
  • Recognition in HOH appreciation advertisement run in a triangle area publication
  • Recognition in the program at Winterfest
  • Receive RMHD monthly enewsletter specifically designed to inform and engage you on RMHD’s achievements and plans.
