What We Do

The Ronald McDonald House of Durham operates two programs to support families in their time of need: a housing program for families who must travel long distances for their children to receive medical treatment, as well as Family Room Programs in Duke Medical Center and WakeMed Children's Hospital to provide in-hospital support for  families that is just steps away from their child’s hospital bedside. 

Whether it is our famous Thursday night Bingo games, free computer and laundry facilities, or caring staff and volunteers, our families know Ronald McDonald House of Durham will be there to support them so they can focus on the well-being of their critically ill child.
